Episode 114 – What’s Hot on BGG, April 2017

BGA is back! And we’re bringing the hotness (literally!) For episode 114, we have a few surprises in store, including an all new presentation and schedule. Be sure to check out the podcast and subscribe if you haven’t yet.

On this week’s episode, we look at some of our recent plays and the games we’re eager to get to the table soon, then we dive into the BGG Hotness for April 2017 – which games are hot, why are they there, and what should you expect from them?

The Games!

Anthony got a big new one in the mail this week that he’s eager to get to the table with Yokohama Deluxe, and he did get a chance to play Port Royal, a long time favorite that was just recently announced for US release by Steve Jackson Games.

Chris discusses his acquisition disorder with The Wind Gambit coming for Scythe from Stonemaier Games, and a recent play of Hardback, the spiritual successor to Paperback, on Kickstarter now.

The Hotness!

For our feature this week, Anthony and Chris sit down to discuss the top 15 games in the Board Game Geek Hotness (as of April 22, 2017). Check out our thoughts on the games in the listing right now, how they got there, and what might have pushed them over the top.
