Episode 108 – Top 13 Halloween Games

Happy Halloween!

This month’s episode is our first ever Halloween special episode as we look at the Top 13 Halloween Games according to the team of Daniel, Chris, and Anthony. We’re sharing the 4-5 games that we each would bring to the table for a Halloween game day and the ones you should track down if looking for something extra spooky.

In addition, we’ll be digging into a lot of recent plays, including a couple of big ones that came out recently.

Acquisition Disorder Corner

We kick things off this month with a list of games we’re keeping a close eye on. Anthony starts with Arkham Horror LCG, which is releasing in the next week from Fantasy Flight Games, along with 7 Wonders Duel: Pantheon which will be hitting from Asmodee later this week.

Chris looks at recent and upcoming digital releases Paperback and Flash Point: Fire Rescue, both coming for iOS and Android (or already out). Daniel shares his recent discovery and interest in picking up Ascension: Collector’s Edition, and the current Kickstarter campaign Tiny Epic Quest.

At the Table

We dive into a few games we’ve been playing lately as well. Anthony kicks things off with the big new release of the month, A Feast for Odin. You can also read the full written review here later this week. Anthony also reviews a recent Kickstarter release he got a chance to play recently, Council of Blackthorn.

Chris dives into a game we snagged at Gen Con, Legendary: Big Trouble in Little China, and a recent play of Warehouse 51. Daniel is playing Ascension: Apprentice Edition and Masks, his most recent RPG obsession.
