This was a very special week for us. Not only were we able to come together for the first time in nearly three months at Dreamation 2015 in Morristown, NJ, but we had the opportunity to play a number of fantastic new games, including our feature review for this week’s episode, Between Two Cities.

Below you’ll find Anthony’s written review as well as a link to the full podcast episode in which we discuss the game. This week we also discuss the ridiculous grabs we made at the convention auction and some of the other games we got to the table, including Roll for the Galaxy, Pandemic Survival, and Diamonds. We had a blast and are extremely excited for the next Double Exposure convention in April, Maelstrom.

    Podcast Episode 59

This week’s episode is packed with content. After a great time at Dreamation 2015, some of us (mostly me) played more games than had hit the table for months. We’re actually going to split up the games we got to the table over the next few weeks, but you can hear about four of the ones we were most excited to get to the table on this week’s episode.

Specifically, you’ll hear about our first full play of Roll for the Galaxy, a game we were fortunate enough to be able to play together as a group (and that does things in such a unique and effective way without losing the spirit of the original game). We also got Mike Fitzgerald’s Diamonds to the table as a group, and Drew and Anthony sat down for a Pandemic Survival tournament – one of the high points of the weekend.

Last but not least, we pulled out the prototype for the new Kickstarter from Stonemaier Games – Between Two Cities – and played through it a handful of times. You can hear our full review and preview of that upcoming campaign in our feature this week.
